Tilt Shift Photography

Friday, February 15th, 2008

Yesturday I took a tutorial on how to ‘fake tilt shift’ your photos. I love tilt shift photography as it makes the scene you are photographing look like a model and you see scenes you know very well in a completely different eye.

Here are my first few attempts at ‘Fake Tilt Shifting’:

It has been really fun playing around with these photos and hopefully soon I will get them all looking pretty good. I am going to go up one of the volcano’s in Auckland and take some photos so will post them once they have been tilted.

bye for now

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I kick started 2008 in style filming and photographing a group riding motorbikes across Baja, Mexico. It was an amazing trip and the scenery and people were beautiful. Will be loading up some photos soon. To get an idea of what it is going to be like check out the trailer for the first documentary filmed in Oregon, USA late last year at www.motoventurefilms.com.

I am slowly going through my photos from the last couple of years so in my spare time over the next couple of weeks I will be loading them onto my site.

In other news…. I am now the happy owner of the new Sony EX1 HD camera. This camera is amazing and the picture quality is second to none! I will put up some samples of what this camera can do in the near future.

Pete Bethune, the captain of Earthrace is releasing his book tonight. This book is about the experiences we had whilst circumnavigating the globe on a power boat. It will be an extremely interesting read as everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. So if you see it in bookstores pick up a copy.
