Star Spirit
Taken in Tonga in the middle of the night on a small tropical Island off the main land. I was sitting here alone taking photos for a while when suddenly I felt as if something was watching me. I turn around and there standing behind me was a 9ft tall Tongan warrior spirit who was glowing bright green. He was extremely muscular, had traditional tattoo’s all over and his hair was long and dirty. He carried what looked like a spear with some sort of shell on it. I was speechless but not scared as he looked kind and not evil. The spirit smiled at me as if to say ‘hello’ and just seemed to be interested in what i was doing. He then disappeared. I told a few people the next day and Sunny (our Tongan guide) told me that there was a story of a Tongan god who looks just like that. Only a handful of people have seen him and they are all blessed in some way. This story made me happy.
